Anna was born in Finland and raised with a younger brother, Antti,
on a dairy farm. In 1989, at the age of twelve, Anna attended modeling school
and began her career as a model. After winning a national modeling contest and
appearing in her first magazine cover in Finland her career took her to her first
modeling contract and to Tokyo. Anna stayed in Asia for close to three years,
and modeled for numerous companies, such as Sony, Jockey, Phillips, Marie Claire,
Hermes, Oricom, Kanebo, Naris, NEC, Lux, Nissen and BYC. She worked on various
TV-commercials and music videos, was a house model for designer Akira Kimijima,
had a yearly contract with a Japanese cosmetics company and was a Navi Connection
Racing Team Girl. After her Asian tour Anna worked as
a model in New Zealand, Hawaii and all across Europe. In
1998, after modeling in Miami, Anna left the entertainment industry, went to Bratislava,
Slovak Republic, conducted a comparative legal research study on the different
aspects of asylum procedures in selected European countries for the United Nations
High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) office in Slovakia. Anna’s research
impacted the Slovak National Asylum Legislation, which was in the process of amendment.
After finishing her project for UNHCR, Anna continued her work in Bratislava with
an international partner of The Foundation for a Civil Society (USA), where she
was involved in the Citizen Campaign OK ‘98. Anna
returned to the entertainment industry the following year in Chicago. She worked
in a few films and stage plays, her favorite role being the Sleeping Beauty. She
always jokingly says that it was type-casting, as she was cast as a princess.
Recently you may have seen her print work for: Coca-Cola,
Nordstroms, Hint Mint, Subaru, Budweiser, Heinz, Kyocera, Listerine, Robinson’s
May, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Chicago Tribune, Caesar’s Palace, Target,
Sears, Crate & Barrel, Lean Pockets, Sun Beam, Motorola, Barona Casino, Brookstone,
and Marriot Hotels. After a second cold winter in Chicago,
Anna drove across the country and arrived in Hollywood. She has appeared in roles
in Days Of Our Lives, Law & Order, Inside Schwartz, and Let’s Make a
Deal on NBC, Fashion 101 on E!, Beach Week and LA Poker Classics on Travel Channel,
HBO Sports on HBO and "Super2ner" on TNN. Anna has acted in half a dozen
independent films. She played Nicole Brown Simpson in a Japanese TV movie and
a lead in a short film "Harmless" which appeared in 7 film festivals
and won 2 awards. In her spare time, Anna enjoys traveling,
rollerblading, ice-skating, scuba diving and driving fast. Anna also continues
her work to help the world with non-profit organizations. |
