Helen
Hunt was born on June 15, 1963 in Culver City. In 1966 her family moved to New
York for six years. After moving back to Los Angeles, Hunt got her first role
in the 1973 television movie "Pioneer Woman". In the meantime she performed
in a lot of movies and series. For more information about her movie career switch
to Helen Hunt acting credits. Since 1981 her parents (Gordon Hunt, Jane Hunt)
are divorced. Her father, Gordon Hunt (filmbiography) is director. In the meantime
he is also a "Mad About You" crew-member and directed some episodes.

tried to get an autographed fancard from her talent agency. I'm still waiting
for an answer! I hope you are luckier than me! During
shooting of "Project X" she got to know Mattew Broderick ("War
Games", "Ferris Bueller's Day Off", "Cable Guy"), with
whom she had a two year romance (view a photo). Hunt got excellent
critics for her role as Anna in the wheelchair-tragedy "The Waterdance"
(with Wesley Snipes and Erick Stoltz). Unfortunately almost nobody knows this
feature film in Austria. Helen Hunt never seriously considered
a lengthy commitment to a TV series. That is, until she got a call from actor/comedian
Paul Reiser. After reading the script and discussing her role as Jamie, she agreed
to star in "Mad About You". In the meantime Hunt is also a producer
of MAY.
In the 6th season of MAY, Hunt earns 600.000 US$ for each episode.

Although Helen plays the
lovely housewife in the show, she's not married in reality. Her steady boyfriend
is Hank Azaria. He guest stared in "Friends" (as David, the student
who fell in love with Phoebe) and in "Mad About You" (as Nat, the dogwalker).
Hank also played some small roles in "Pretty Woman" and "Heat".
His biggest role was in "The Birdcage", as the maid Agador. View a photo

Since Summer 1996 Helen Hunt is not only known

she stars in Jan DeBont's tornado-thriller "Twister". Due to the start
